Artist Statement

I am a figurative painter currently focused on oyster farmers and their work in Wellfleet, Cape Cod. I am also intrigued by the flats in the Bay at low tide and the patterns left by the tidal flow. My love for this place began during my childhood summers in Wellfleet when the flats were my playground. I work in water-based oils and charcoal from my photographs and sketches.
